ST. CHRISTOPHER PARISH MISSION

The annual mission will take place this year over three days in Mid-March.  Our preacher once again will be Fr. John Denniston of Fordham College in New York City. 

Fr. Denniston will preach at all the Masses the weekend of March 13 / 14, announcing the mission and inviting your participation.  He will preach the mission on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (March 16, 17, 18).  There will be two sessions daily, at 9:00am and 7:00pm with Mass. 

Fr. Denniston’s topic will be “The Book of Revelation: A 1st Century Christian Culture Warrior”

Bel Canto Singers...  Present their Palm Sunday  Concert of All Sacred Music

 Sacred  Music and Classic Opera.  Featuring selections from Faure Requiem, Mascagni, Humperdinck, Mozart, Verdi, Leher, and J. Strauss.

Furniture Donations are needed.... please call the Thrift Shop at 772-546-5070.  Furniture pickups are done on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Please call to make your tax deductible donation and help this very worthy organization. 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED....  To help in the Furniture and Clothing Departments.  Please call and ask for Dolores or Carmel if you are able to volunteer some time.  NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

“SERVANT OF ALL” 

A DOCUMENTARY ON THE LIFE OF ARCHBISHOP FULTON J. SHEEN

All are invited to attend a special viewing of "Servant of All" - the first ever documentary film produced by the Archbishop Fulton John Sheen Foundation in Peoria, Illinois, which tells the story of one of the greatest communicators of the 20th century. This special screening will take place Wednesday April 14, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola, 9999 N. Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens – after the hour long screening, a light reception will follow in the Cathedral Hall. This is Fulton Sheen like you have never seen him before! Come and see! You will be moved by details you never heard before about FJS: see why he's relevant for the Church today and how you too can be an apostle for the "cause!" This first of its kind documentary on the life of Fulton Sheen is aimed at generating new awareness of this giant of our faith as right now he is being considered for sainthood. Year for Priests

Pope Benedict XVI has declared a “Year for Priests” beginning with the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 19, 2009. The year will conclude in Rome with an international gathering of priests with the Holy Father on June 19, 2010. With the announcement of this Year for Priests, the Pope has declared St. John Vianney the Universal Patron of Priests on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the death of the Curé d’Ars. Please pray for our priests that they might always be faithful to their sacred calling. Pray daily for the priests of the Diocese of Palm Beach.
