“SERVANT OF ALL”

A DOCUMENTARY ON THE LIFE OF ARCHBISHOP FULTON J. SHEEN

All are invited to attend a special viewing of "Servant of All" - the first ever documentary film produced by the Archbishop Fulton John Sheen Foundation in Peoria, Illinois, which tells the story of one of the greatest communicators of the 20th century. This special screening will take place Wednesday April 14, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola, 9999 N. Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens – after the hour long screening, a light reception will follow in the Cathedral Hall. This is Fulton Sheen like you have never seen him before! Come and see! You will be moved by details you never heard before about FJS: see why he's relevant for the Church today and how you too can be an apostle for the "cause!" This first of its kind documentary on the life of Fulton Sheen is aimed at generating new awareness of this giant of our faith as right now he is being considered for sainthood. The Diocese of Palm Beach is one of the first dioceses in the country to host a premiere and soon this film will be seen on PBS in various hubs around the country. You can see it here FIRST! This is an evening you won't want to miss! Priests encourage your laity, laity encourage your priests! This event is free and open to the public. Year for Priests

Pope Benedict XVI has declared a “Year for Priests” beginning with the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 19, 2009. The year will conclude in Rome with an international gathering of priests with the Holy Father on June 19, 2010.

With the announcement of this Year for Priests, the Pope has declared St. John Vianney the Universal Patron of Priests on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the death of the Curé d’Ars.

Please pray for our priests that they might always be faithful to their sacred calling. Pray daily for the priests of the Diocese of Palm Beach.
